Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend hosts thousands annually as Canada's premier spring marathon, begins and ends at Ottawa City Hall, and serves as a national championship for Canadian distance competitions. The weekend also features a half marathon race, the 10K, the 5K, a 2K race, and a kids' marathon, with races totaling over 40,000 participants historically. The Boston-qualifying route is a Boston-qualifying route, that starts and finishes at Ottawa City Hall. Dating back to 1975, it remains Canada's largest spring marathon.
