James Gibbons Huneker, renowned worldwide as both a musician and a writer, passed away last evening after a brief illness lasting four days at his residence, located at 1,018 Beverly Road in Flatbush. He had recently celebrated his sixty-first birthday and remained engaged in his role as a newspaper critic until the end of the previous week.
