The Prince of Wales visited the site in July 2023 to view the nursery extension, glasshouse, and gardens. Funds from the Duchy support the Duke’s public, private, and charitable activities. Located on the Duchy estate and is part of a long-standing estate operation which began public access in 1975. A fifty-year growth plan has guided its development. It is widely regarded as one of the South West’s leading nurseries. Duchy of Cornwall Nursery continues to expand with garden center facilities while emphasizing nature-friendly horticulture.
