Highway 3 is blocked from Hope to Manning Park, disrupting local traffic. Wildfire activity left both lanes unusable, halting travel. Travellers now only use the Coquihalla Highway, avoiding the closure. The fire near Hope is burning northeast of the Coquihalla interchange, producing thick smoke. Smoke is heavy and readily to see, reducing visibility. A second blaze erupted south of Boston Bar on Tuesday. This second fire spans 300 hectares. It compelled officials to close Highway 1 in the same area. Two key routes into southern BC are now blocked.
